The conversation covers the 5 Saturdays STEAM program inaugural launch in Tucson, AZ at the University of Arizona. High school students 13 to 19 years old from the city of Tucson are given scholarships to attend the 5-week program free of charge. Topics include agile life skills, software development with Python, lean business startup, and job readiness and effective communications. The student workshops are ran by local industry professionals, willing to serve the community by becoming learning facilitators and mentors to the students. In 2019, the 5 Saturdays STEAM program will be hosted in four locations for the first time. The locations include Tucson AZ, Costa Mesa CA, Whittier CA, and Milwaukee WI.
